By creating an account and using Calorie Tracker: Food Scan, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What the app does
You photograph a meal or describe it in words, and the app estimates its calories and macronutrients, records it against your day, and shows your progress over time.
This is not medical advice. The nutrition figures are estimates produced automatically from a photo or a description, and they can be wrong — sometimes substantially. Do not rely on them to manage diabetes, an allergy, an eating disorder, or any other medical condition. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making meaningful changes to how you eat.
Your account
Give accurate details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else has got into your account. An account is for one person. You must be at least 13 years old to create one.
Subscriptions
Logging meals requires an active Premium subscription. Premium is sold in three lengths: one month, three months and six months.
Price. The price of each plan is shown inside the app on the subscription screen, in your own currency, before you buy anything. Prices differ by country and may change over time; the figure shown at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.
Free trial. When a free trial is offered, it is shown on the subscription screen along with its length. A trial turns into a paid subscription automatically when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. If you buy a subscription while a trial is running, the rest of the trial is forfeited.
Payment and renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the price for the plan you chose.
Managing and cancelling. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple ID account settings, under Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds. All payments are handled by Apple, and refunds are Apple's to give. Request one through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How the subscription is recognised
A subscription belongs to the Apple ID that bought it, which is how the App Store works. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore on the subscription screen while signed in to the same Apple ID.
Your photos and content
Meal photos remain yours. By uploading one you allow the app to store it and to send it for automated nutrition analysis, purely so the feature can work. Nothing you upload is published, shown to other people, or used for advertising. Do not upload anything you have no right to use.
Fair use
Please do not take the app apart or attempt to reverse engineer it, reach the service by anything other than the app itself, run automated or scripted requests against it, resell access, or use it in a way that breaks the law where you live. Automated meal analysis is subject to a daily limit per account, which exists to keep costs sane and is not a fault.
Availability
The app depends on services that may go down, and features may be added, changed or removed. Nothing here promises uninterrupted service.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Doing so removes your account, your meals and your photos permanently. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription — cancel that in your Apple ID settings. Access may be suspended if these terms are broken.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or from reliance on its estimates. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without affecting any consumer rights you hold where you live.
