This app is built by one independent developer. It has no advertising, no analytics that follow you around, and nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing. What follows is a plain description of the data the app holds and why.
What the app collects
Your account. An email address and a password, or an Apple ID if you use Sign in with Apple. Passwords are never stored in readable form. When you sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your real address, and the app works normally either way.
Your profile. The details you enter yourself: name, weight, height, age, your goal, activity level, and your daily calorie and macronutrient targets. These exist to calculate your targets and are not used for anything else.
Your meals. For every meal you log: the name, calories, protein, carbs, fat, the time you ate, and the photo if you took one.
The app does not collect your location, your contacts, your health records from other apps, or your device advertising identifier.
How photos are handled
When you photograph a meal, the picture is scaled down and sent to OpenAI, which estimates what the food is and roughly what it contains. The estimate comes back and is saved with the meal. The photo itself is stored in your private area of the app's storage so it can appear in your history.
OpenAI processes the image to answer that single request. Data sent through their API is not used to train their models. If you describe a meal in words instead of photographing it, only that text is sent.
Who else is involved
- Supabase — hosts the database, the file storage and the sign-in system. Your account, meals and photos live there.
- OpenAI — receives a meal photo or description in order to estimate its nutrition, as described above.
- Apple — handles Sign in with Apple and every subscription payment. The app never sees your payment details.
There is no one else. No advertising networks, no data brokers, no third-party analytics.
Why the app holds this data
To keep you signed in, to calculate your daily targets, to show your history and progress over time, and to estimate the nutrition of what you photograph. That is the whole list.
How long it is kept
Your data stays until you remove it. Deleting a meal removes its record and its photo. Deleting your account removes the account itself, every meal on it, and every photo — this is permanent and cannot be reversed.
Deleting your account
Open Profile → Delete Account inside the app. You will be asked to confirm, and the deletion happens immediately. You do not need to email anyone or wait for a reply.
Security
All traffic between the app and its servers is encrypted. Every record is tied to your account, and the database enforces that you can only ever read and write your own rows. Keys that must stay secret are held on the server and never shipped inside the app. No system is perfect, but nothing here is left open by design.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and accounts should not be created for them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to the address below and it will be removed.
Your rights
You can see and correct your profile and meals at any time inside the app, and you can delete everything yourself. If you would like a copy of your data in a file, or have a question about any of this, write to the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and any significant change will be pointed out in the app.
